SMART DIESEL – A SMARTER CHOICE
ABC’s Smart Diesel is a high-quality diesel that suits all diesel engines. Smart Diesel offers plenty of top features, including combustion that is more complete than that of the traditional grade of diesel, thus lowering the local emissions of the engine.
Smart Diesel ensures that the engine not only stays clean, but this smart diesel even purges the engine so that it will be as good as new. It improves engine performance and increases the endurance of the engine. Smart Diesel can be used in all cars with a diesel motor, regardless of their age. The engines in new cars can make the most of the features of this state-of-the-art diesel, but for older cars, its purging properties are particularly useful.
Smart Diesel can be refuelled from all ABC stations, and it is easy to identify from the markings in the fuel meters.
1. What makes Smart Diesel a smart diesel? What are the key differences to regular diesel?
Smart Diesel is the ABC chain’s high-quality diesel, with many top features, including combustion that is more complete than that of the traditional grade of diesel, thus lowering the local emissions of the engine. Smart Diesel ensures that the engine not only stays clean, but Smart Diesel even purges the engine so that it will be as good as new. Smart Diesel improves the performance and endurance of the engine and cares for the environment due to its lower emissions.
2. What is the difference between Smart Diesel and Nero Diesel?
Nero Diesel is a completely renewable diesel grade which reduces greenhouse gas emissions during its entire life cycle, compared to fossil diesel. Nero Diesel can be used in all diesel vehicles. Nero Diesel is manufactured mainly from waste and residue raw materials. Read more about Nero Diesel.
3. How does Smart Diesel purge my car’s engine?
When a car is used, residue and dirt accumulate in the engine. Thanks to a purging additive in Smart Diesel, the engine is purged so that it becomes as good as new. The required time for purging depends on how dirty the engine is, but the best performance is achieved after approximately 3 to 4 full tanks. However, the difference in engine performance becomes clear already after one tank.
4. How does Smart Diesel influence my car’s performance?
The performance of a dirty diesel engine is clearly lower than usual. When driving, even a power loss by 2 per cent can be noticed as reduced engine performance. Smart Diesel keeps the engine clean and maintains its optimal performance.
5. Does Smart Diesel influence my car’s emissions?
When fuel burns completely and cleanly in the engine, the local emissions of the car become lower. The value that describes the combustion and flammability of diesel fuel is called a cetane number. The higher the cetane number the diesel fuel has, the more complete the combustion is in the engine and the lower the local emissions created. The cetane number of Smart Diesel is always at least 60, whereas the cetane number of basic diesel is typically between 51 and 55.
6. Does the use of Smart Diesel reduce the consumption of fuel in my car?
When the engine becomes dirty, its power is reduced. To reach the same power, the gas pedal needs to be pressed even harder, which increases consumption. Purging the engine will also lead to savings in terms of fuel consumption.
7. Does the smart diesel have an impact on the life span or endurance of the engine?
Using Smart Diesel purges the engine so that it will be as good as new and improves the performance of the engine.
