The saving and use of a payment card in ABC-mobiili requires entering card-specific contact details (e.g. name, telephone number, e-mail address and card invoicing address). Card-specific contact information is collected so that the card issuer can verify the customer more strongly and prevent any misuse of payment transactions.
Card-specific contact details are prefilled with information from S Group’s co-op member and customer register, which the customer can modify for each card. The main contact details in S Group’s customer and co-op member register are not updated when adding card details. Instead, the card-specific contact details are an independent part of S Group’s co-op member and customer register.
The contact details of the payment card used in a payment transaction are transmitted to the payment service provider Verifone Finland Oy that will forward them to the card issuer as well as the information on the mobile device. Verifone Finland Oy is responsible for processing personal data in accordance with its privacy policy.
The actual card details (card number, validity period or confirmation code) are not stored in S Group’s registers. S Group’s co-op member and customer register only has a technical key related to the card and the contact details mentioned above. The details of the payment card will be connected to the customer with a technical key.
